Position Announcement:              Database Management Specialist

                                                        Urban Institute

The Urban Institute (UI), a non-profit organization founded in 1968, is seeking applications for the position of Database Management Specialist for the upcoming USAID Kinerja project. UI was established to investigate social and economic problems confronting the US and the government policies and programs designed to alleviate them. Over the last 25 years, UI has expanded its role to address analogous problems in developing countries.

UI's international work has focused on decentralization and local government capacity building, structured around four outcomes: (1) creation of a clearer legal and regulatory framework for local government rights and responsibilities through a consensus-oriented dialogue among central government, local government, and public stakeholders; (2) improved financial management and greater transparency in local government budgeting and expenditure; (3) more cost-effective and responsive delivery of services by local governments; and (4) greater interaction and more effective communication between local government (both elected officials and civil servants) and citizens about community priorities and the reality of the constraints under which local governments operate.

 

Responsibilities:

The Database Management Specialist will manage and maintain the Monitoring and Evaluation information system for the Kinerja project.  Specific tasks will include:

·       Development and implementation of information database.

·       Providing technical support and routine database maintenance.

·       Validating, editing and formatting data.

·       Troubleshooting problems.

 

Qualifications:

·       Minimum two years experience in database/information system management.

·       University degree in computer science, information science or related field preferred.

·       Strong attention to detail.

·       Proficiency in English preferred.

Pelatihan ini akan membahas Corporate Social Resposibility Management secara cerdas dan menyeluruh (holistic) dari berbagai sudut pandang dan kepentingan pemangku kepentingan, misalnya dari pelaku bisnis, pemerintah daerah, karyawan, konsumen, pemasok, masyarakat secara keseluruhan dan lingkungan hidup.

Dalam pembahasannya dimasukkan pula aplikasi praktis berorientasi bisnis/pelaku usaha menggunakan  pendekatan manajemen strategik, manajemen pemasaran, manajemen sumber daya manusia, manajemen keuangan, manajemen operasional dan manajemen waktu. Tidak lupa disinggung pula implikasi  sosial, politik, ekonomi dan lingkungan hidup

 

Pelatihan ini akan terdiri  18 jam efektif dengan ruang lingkup:

v     Analisa integral kondisi dan kebutuhan perusahaan

v     Penyusunan Struktur Organisasi dan Kebutuhan Tenaga Kerja

v     Pengembangan Kebijakan CSR

v     Penyusunan Program Aksi CSR

o       Manajemen Perusahaan

o       Ketenagakerjaan

o       Lingkungan

o       Praktik Operasi yang Seimbang

o       Pelibatan dan Pengembangan Masyarakat

v     Pemantauan dan Pengendalian Aktivitas CSR

v     Pengukuran Kinerja CSR

v     Studi Kasus CSR di dalam dan luar negeri

v     Pelaporan kegiatan CSR berdasarkan ISI 26000 (draft) dan Global Reporting Initiative

 

Metoda Pelatihan

Pelatihan ini disusun menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran partisipatip, dimana peserta akan menggunakan perusahaannya masing-masing sebagai studi kasus. Sehingga di akhir pelatihan peserta akan akan menghasilkan Pedoman CSR (dalam bentuk draft awal) perusahaannya masing-masing.

 

Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan secara electronic, seluruh materi utama pelatihan , materi tambahan dan materi pelengkap termasuk template CSR akan  diberikan dalam bentuk  soft copy (CD), sehingga peserta diwajibkan membawa laptop masing-masing lengkap dengan disk drive, termasuk   program Microsoft Office dan  PDF Reader.

 

Pelatihan ini 25% berupa pemaparan, 25% berupa aktivitas individu dan tanya jawab, 50% aktivitas kelompok,.

Guna memberikan kesempatan pada peserta untuk melakukan konsultasi, peserta pelatihan dibatasi 25 peserta per batch. Disarankan setiap perusahaan dapat mengirimkan lebih dari satu peserta agar dapat mendiskusi kasus perusahaannya dengan lebih mendalam.

 

Pelatihan akan dilaksanakan  selama dua hari (12 sesi @ 1.5 jam)  dari pukul 08.30 – 22.00.
