General Conditions:

1. Contract period : 4 years, renewable

2. Working days : 6 days / week

Our client, a gold mine company located in Martabe North Sumatera, is looking for candidates for the position of:

Senior Construction Manager - Mine Construction

The person will be responsible for all aspects of the delivery of the program to what is a very tight schedule. This includes managing the organization, as well as his/her direct reports. Championing H&S and ensuring that the project(s) are delivered to budget.

The successful candidate will be Degree Qualified (or equivalent) ideally within a Civil / Structural subject. The Senior Construction Project Manager will have extensive experience in mine construction / deep shaft construction or heavy tunneling associated with the mining.

This role requires a person who has been the number one PM / CM on a mining construction project managing all aspects of the project. Having worked for a mining operator would be advantageous but will also accept applications for candidates who have been working for a leading EPC organization.

The candidates should have the ability to take a project which is in its infancy and get it up to operational use that also includes administration and setting up new office. This requires a person driven by challenges and can work well under pressure.

Requirements:
Previous experience : 15 years experience minimum
Specialist knowledge : Mining construction management.
Deep shaft construction
Bulk earthworks excavation
Project / Programme Management

Other Skills: Strong leadership skills
Ability to communicate with a multi national team
Language Skills : English
