Our client, the largest global supplier of specialised mining productivity solutions, is seeking an experienced candidate for the following position :
Product Specialist
Customer & Technical Support
- Attend the Company help desk and provide expert solutions to customers' complex technical product support issues
- Provide assistance and guidance to Support Consultants and ensure delivery of high level support to customers
- Demonstrate expert product knowledge and understanding of scope of product, its functionality and application to industry and maintain an understanding of other Company products
- Analyse optimisation of product and identify issues and opportunities to add value to clients business through additional Company training, support, projects or products
- Ensure the capture & documentation of customer details & history, including technical support issues
- Continually develop personal knowledge and familiarity with products to enhance expertise and application to industry
- Proactively manage client relationships and seek to identify conflict and ensure conflict resolutions are followed through to achieve a satisfactory outcome
- Identify potential sources of conflict and actively seek to implement a satisfactory resolution
- Ensure the transfer of knowledge and the development of expertise of other team members
- Perform product presentation and practical demonstrations to potential and existing clients
Training & Certification- Deliver advance and tailored product training (in the classroom & on-site), utilising customer datasets and addressing specific client technical, business and product optimisation issues
- Develop & establish training material & education packages, including learning modules & outcomes
- Identify opportunities to add value to customer business with the provision of other Company services or products
- Prepare & manage training calendar, schedules & allocation of resources to education programs
- Create and contribute to tutorial material for product functions
- Ensure travel arrangements and training logistics are coordinated for delivery of training on site
Project Management & Implementation- Prepare initial scope of project works, and make an assessment on the business and project opportunity
- Undertake proposal development, including planning, estimating and design of project solutions to address specific customer requirements
- Manage the implementation of projects to ensure delivery of services within the scope of works and ensure achievement of key measures and outcomes
- Maintain effective client relationships and work closely with client to add value to the business systems and processes
- Complete a review of the project following completion and identify learning outcomes
- Manage to the body of knowledge and project learning by identifying, monitoring and recording specific learning & development aspects of the project implementation
- Engage directly with clients by providing consulting services regarding product optimisation, product integration and workflows and overall business performance improvement
- Conduct peer reviews and audits of client team members to assess product use and optimisation
Human Resources - Provide mentoring and coaching of team members to impart technical and product knowledge and ensure high standard of services to customers
- Contribute to the performance management, succession planning and continual development of team members
Other - Perform product presentation and practical demonstrations to potential and existing clients
- Provide feedback and input on product direction, improvements, development and enhancements
- Identify opportunities for the continuous improvement of products, seeking industry best practice and though leadership in mining executing systems
- Participate in the quality assessment and testing of pre-release product improvements and enhancements
- Undertake technical writing activities for the design and construction of products
