The Partnership for Governance Reform in Indonesia is a multi-stakeholder association dedicated to support Indonesian initiatives aiming at supporting governance reform agenda. The Partnership works closely with national and international community to initiate, advocate, and promote sustainable governance reform in Indonesia .
The Partnership brings together the Indonesian Government, Legislature, Judiciary, Civil Society, and the Corporate Sector with the support of the International Community in initiating a long-term process to improve governance in Indonesia in a durable way which expresses Indonesian ownership.

Junior Program Officer for Women's Political Empowerment and MDGs
Organizational Context
Currently the Partnership was just awarded with a program, funded by the Royal Netherlands Embassy, entitled Leveraging Education and Accountability Program in Indonesia (Lead Indonesia Program). The LEAD Indonesia Program is developed to meet the following objectives:
1. Establishing substantive democracy through political reform and education.
2. Promoting and facilitating the institutionalization of integrity system and fulfillment of right to basic services
3. Consolidating and deepening the design and implementation of policies on decentralized governance.
Under this LEAD Indonesia Program, the Democratic Governance Cluster (DEG) will be responsible in the implementation and management of the objective 1. Three of the key components in objective 1 are (1) civic engagement and deepening democracy, (2) accelerating Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) through good governance, and (3) enhancing women's political leadership in the policy making process.
The three of the key components under Objective 1 of the LEAD Indonesia Program are also in line with three of the six main programmatic areas that are identified under the DEG strategic plan. These six areas are:
AREA 1: Civic Engagement in Public Policy Making Process
AREA 2: Citizen's Empowerment in Democratic Politics
AREA 3: Integrity and Governance of the Election System
AREA 4: Institutional Transformation of National & Regional Legislature
AREA 5: Democratic Governance of Political Party
AREA 6: Good Governance of the Media Sector
To ensure the successful management of the LEAD Indonesia Program, and to maintain the programmatic portfolio of the DEG Cluster, the Partnership intends to recruit a Junior Program Officer (JPO) for the Women's Empowerment and MDGs Program.
The JPO will fully be engaged and responsible in the implementation and management of some of the components outlined under objective 1 of the LEAD Indonesia Program and will be responsible in maintaining the DEG portfolio particularly related to the advancement of women's political representation and participation, as well as efforts to achieve the targets of MDGs through various public policy initiatives
Under the guidance and supervision of the Chief of Cluster-Democratic Governance (DEG) and the Program Manager, the Junior Program Officer will assisting in monitoring the program/projects team, ensures effective implementation of program/project activities staff as per the agreed plan and budget. The Junior Program Officer will work in close collaboration with the other programs in the DEG cluster and the Operations team.
